Kids, Don't Try This At Home

A senior citizen in Milwaukee decided this bank robber was endangering his wife, so he took him down single-handed. This is just hilarious, actually, and I say “Bravo!” to the elderly gentleman who had the cojones to tackle a 23-year-old kid. Watch:

Notice the bank customer who decides to help out by kicking Mr. Bank Robber while he’s down, at about the 47 second mark. Can’t say I blame her, though I’m sure it didn’t help much. Incredibly, some imbec… er, commenter at YouTube thought she should be arrested for assault for doing that. I can see that; I sure wouldn’t want anybody kicking me if I were robbing a bank…

Hat tip to This Ain’t Hell (but you can see it from here).

Amen to that and kudos to the guy and the lady. Candidly, I would have no problem if the bystanders beat him unconscious just to make sure he didn’t roust himself and pull a weapon or try to escape while waiting for the police to show. I would rather the perp did a few weeks in the hospital or died rather than take a sliver of a chance that an innocent bystander be hurt.

I have all the respect in the world for the police, but they cannot be everywhere, and they deal with crimes after the fact. What if the teller did not react quickly enough and the robber decided to pistol whip the guy’s wife to get everyone’s attention and ‘respect’?

No sympathy or protection, zero, none for predators and whatever fate befalls them at whoever’s hand, whenever. You don’t like that risk, don’t be a criminal.

Knuckle dragging right winger signing off.

Absolutely beautiful. I am confident that this robber never dreamed in his wildest imagination that an elderly white man would take him down like that.

See, what young people don’t realize is that ‘older gentleman’ become fearless in their old age. They know they’re going to die anyway in a few years, so rather than watch nature take away everything they’ve ever loved and pass away anonymously in a nursing home, they’re thinking “Why not go out in a blaze of glory?”

The older gentleman seems pretty robust and fearless….impressive take down and I like the way the teller ran around the counter to get a kick to the face of the perp!

Putting the boot in is always appropriate when dealing with miscreants.

I think that older gentlemen not only are less fearful of death, but live according to an older code, which requires that something must be done, and so it is done.
