Make Mine Rare. Very Rare. Please.
Via Blue Crab Boulevard on this exceedingly slow news day: Participants in yesterday’s Veggie Pride parade in New York City sported signs bearing the slogans “Give Peas a Chance” and “Go Vegetarian,” and watched the marriage of the costumed Panelo Pea Pod to Mr. Chris P. Carrot. The stated purpose of the parade was to promote vegan and vegetarian lifestyles and the ethical treatment of animals. Other participants served up heaping platters of guilt, observing through signs that livestock creates more greenhouse gas than automobiles and asking whether your dinner led a horrible life.
Would you believe the parade was organized by… Pamela Rice?
The parade was inspired by a similar event in Paris, France. Why am I not surprised?

I was in WSP park twice yesterday and failed to notice even one human carrot. Compared to the mighty Dachshund Parade
