Squaring the Culture

"...and I will make justice the plumb line, and righteousness the level;
then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
and the waters will overflow the secret place."

Question of the Day

From the comments at Hot Air, discussing Barack Obama’s latest “that’s not fair!” whine, claiming that it’s somehow off limits to criticize the content of campaign speeches made by his wife:

Why does he even want to be president of such a mean-spirited country full of bitter, xenophobic, religious people clinging to guns anyway?

Regardless of his politics, I think running a campaign almost entirely by the tactic of calling any and all criticism unfair, sets a new low in political cynicism. If he really wanted to create a new kind of politics, he should have learned the fortitude to take lumps without complaining, and simply choose not to shoot back in return.

Being offended has probably always worked for him in the past. It obviously has always worked for Michelle Obama.

He just doesn’t see the need for anything but Hope & Change. After he gives us that we will have no other needs.
